then rescued and brought to a home of their own -

Or is it more of an introspective look, followed by a corrective action ("Im bored, maybe I'll have a good time at that scratcher")? Or is it just doggie-dopamine creating and strengthening neural networks that bring it there? ’I should have realized the meal spread would gather attention when I posted this lol. -Its a rotisserie chicken. I bought it solely for him. I'm vegetarian and yes after I bought it I felt weird. Maybe next year he will get To'furky... -The orange dish is squash. Like the frozen cube of squash they sell in the freezer section of stores. You add butter and sugar to it....so its basically butter and sugar. -Yes my stuffing is mad dry... the way I like it lol Plus I had 12oz of stock when the bag called for 14oz. -The other bowl is mashed potatoes -Yes thats a really tiny apple pie. I wasn't able to go home for thanksgiving, so it was just me and him!’

’Thank you! She was in a cage, in a hall, with a bunch of other cats, but her voice cut through all the others and drew me to her. When I got her into a meeting room, she crawled right into my lap, tucked her head under my chin, kneaded my chest and puuuuurred 😭 filling out the adoption papers was a little difficult, as she sat on them the whole time & demanded that I pet her, but now I’m well on the way to bringing her home for good!’

'twas the night before school trip - a costume was needed
my son got instructions we carefully heeded
'Be dressed prehistoric' - the challenge accepted!
but his costume was not like the others expected...
while others wore aprons and pilgrim hats tall,
our son wore a loin cloth (alittle too small..)
others had thanksgiving food they were bringing,
but ours went to school with a club he was swinging
so he went along, learned a lesson that day -
so what if you're different - blend in anyway!
we're proud of our boy - head held high, and he knew it:
we told him 'So easy - a caveman can do it!'

the photos were taken - i hated the day
(i already knew that my parents can't pay)
i sat for the camera - it flashed in my face,
i just couldn't wait to get outta that place
several weeks passed, then the pictures arrived,
the rich kids they bragged of their photos, contrived
embarrassed and awkward, i hung my head low
as kids taunted me 'Where did Your pictures go'?!
then this man - he quietly took me aside
'Hey pal, here's your pictures - now take them and hide
please don't ever say that you got them from me -
i know that your parents would both want to see...'
the photo's not great, but it's one that was treasured
a lasting impression of kindness unmeasured

’Awh man he was the best. We have 3 other puppers so I spend plenty of time with them as well. But I think my favorite memory would be: As he got older he was always sore or needing a good scratch but just couldn’t reach with his bad hips. So I’d usually lay him down and give him a full body scratch and muscle rub. It would usually end with him snoring and me sneaking away :] Thank you for the kind words. :)’

’This hits hard. I'm a big car enthusiast and it came from my father. He owned a 1971 Jaguar E Type Coupe that he sold for AC in his first house. After that he sacrificed everything for his family, no more sports cars; vans and shit cars so his family can have what THEY want. One of my biggest regrets will be him never getting a Vette or something fun before now. Now he's bedridden with advanced Alzheimer's and hasn't drive in 10 years. I will always remember him taking me for my first dounuts in winter and teaching me how to drive a stick. So thank you, I'll save this.’

dear santa, we waiting here under the tree,
